The Role

The purpose of this position if to play a key role in the efficient processing of building consents by ensuring all consents are complete before why move forward to the processing officer.  Key tasks will include:

  • Consent checking
  • Taking email, phone and counter enquiries that are escalated by Building Support staff
  • Management and maintenance of technical publications, the standards library and technical guidance documentation

About You

  • Tertiary diploma qualification in a Building Control is desirable, NCEA level 3 qualification is a minimum
  • Experience working in a team environment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Minimum two years' experience  in a building environment or administration role
  • Demonstrated planning and organisational skills with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to effectively multitask
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
