The Role

The One Network Transport Technician assists the General Manager of Property and Infrastructure to provide excellent strategic and operational asset management of QLDC’s transport assets and services.

The purpose of this role is to develop and embed a culture of evidence based investment decisions for the whole of Property and Infrastructure, but with key responsibilities for supporting the development, maintenance and business analytics of the transport asset management systems.  This role’s aim is to deliver mature and continuously improving asset management for transport in accordance with all legislation, NZTA requirements and industry best practice.

About You

  • Secondary qualification in a related field (engineering, asset management), Diploma level 5 or greater
  • Good foundational knowledge about data and asset management practices, with knowledge of transport being an advantage
  • Well-developed people and communications skills and a strong customer ethos
  • Relevant work experience in data collection/analysis
  • Highly motivated, achievement-orientated and innovative professional
  • A positive, willing, contributing and adaptable member of the team.
